Covers U.S. legal system, healthcare laws, and regulations affecting HIM. Examines privacy, security, licensure, accreditation, fraud, and abuse. Applies compliance strategies to protect health information and resolve regulatory discrepancies. Course Information: Extensive computer use required. Meets eight weeks of the semester.
