Consists of 160 hours of supervised management activities in a healthcare or affiliate organization or with an independent HIM professional, allowing students to practice leadership, professionalism and management skills. Course Information: Extensive computer use required. Field work required. Meets eight weeks of the semester. Clinical practicum hours are completed on-site at a healthcare organization during regular business hours. Prerequisite(s): Enrollment restricted to students in the last semester of the HIM program.
