Introduces ICD-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems with emphasis on coding guidelines, inpatient vs. outpatient distinctions, data quality, and reimbursement methodologies, including DRGs, APCs, IPPS, and OPPS. Course Information: Previously listed as HIM 333. Extensive computer use required. Meets eight weeks of the semester. Taught partially or fully online. Prerequisite(s): BHIS 405 and HIM 432.
