HIMĀ 450. Health Information Technology and Systems. 3 hours.
Overview of information technology concepts applied to the practice of health information management. Topics include electronic health record systems, information governance, privacy and security, data collection, storage, retrieval and analysis. Course Information: Extensive computer use required. Meets eight weeks of the semester. Taught online. Students must have and active UIC Net ID with valid password and access to a computer and the internet. Prerequisite(s): HIM 451.
