MEĀ 574. Human Movement and Neural Control. 4 hours.
Musculoskeletal biomechanics and neural control of human movement. Measurement of activity (e. g. EEG, fMRI, EMG, force sensors, motion tracking). Engineering skills for rigid body dynamics, quantitative analysis, modeling, control theory, motor learning. Course Information: Same as ME 574. Extensive computer use required. One hands-on lab/homework project. Recommended background: Physiology; working knowledge of Matlab; system dynamics and frequency-domain analysis (e.g. BME 310, ECE 310, ME 312 or equivalent).
