Course Information: Prerequisite(s): Professional standing. Class Schedule Information: To be properly registered, students must enroll in one Lecture-Discussion and one Clinical Practice.

DBCS 302. Biomedical and Clinical Sciences in Dentistry AS-2. 9 hours.

Addresses systemic diseases and conditions that affect orofacial health and/or oral health care to include the cardiovascular, pulmonary, central and peripheral nervous systems. Course Information: Prerequisite(s): Professional standing. Class Schedule Information: To be properly registered, students must enroll in one Lecture and one Discussion.

DBCS 311. Biomedical and Clinical Sciences in Dentistry I. 11 hours.

Normal structure and function of body systems; detailed discussion of the musculoskeletal system; normal structure and function of the stomatognathic, central and peripheral nervous systems; normal structure and function of integument and immune system. Course Information: Extensive computer use required. Prerequisite(s): Professional standing. Class Schedule Information: To be properly registered, students must enroll in one Lecture-Discussion and one Laboratory.

DBCS 314. Biomedical and Clinical Sciences in Dentistry II. 9 hours.

Detailed discussion of the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems; structure and function of the gastrointestinal, hemopoietic and immune system with microbial infections; structure and function of the endocrine, reproductive and urinary systems. Course Information: Extensive computer use required. Prerequisite(s): DBCS 311; and professional standing. Class Schedule Information: To be properly registered, students must enroll in one Lecture-Discussion and one Laboratory.

DBCS 321. Biomedical and Clinical Sciences in Dentistry III. 9 hours.

Addresses conditions that affect orofacial health and/or oral health care: cardiovascular, pulmonary and central and peripheral nervous systems; integument, musculoskeletal, urinary and gastro-in systems. Course Information: Extensive computer use required. Prerequisite(s): Grade of C or better in DBCS 314; and professional standing.

DBCS 324. Biomedical and Clinical Sciences in Dentistry IV. 9 hours.

Assessment of systemic diseases and conditions that affect orofacial health and/or oral health care: Hemopoietic and immune systems and microbial infections; Endocrine and reproductive systems; Integration of systems and multi-system diseases. Course Information: Extensive computer use required. Prerequisite(s): Grade of C or better in DBCS 321; and professional standing.

DBCS 327. Biomedical and Clinical Sciences in Dentistry V. 6 hours.

Assessment of diseases and conditions of the organ systems and mulit-system conditions affecting orofacial health and/or oral health care. Course Information: Extensive computer use required. Prerequisite(s): DBCS 324; and professional standing.
