Courses
DADM 305. Advanced Standing DMD Program for Foreign-Trained Faculty. 0-18 hours.
Represents coursework found in the DMD program, used for tuition assessment and registration purposes. Avenue by which full-time faculty members in the College of Dentistry with foreign dental degrees obtain the DMD degree. Lectures, clinical work. Course Information: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading only. May be repeated. Students may register in more than one section per term. No graduation credit. Prerequisite(s): Full-time appointment as a faculty member in the UIC College of Dentistry; possession of a certificate of completed training in one of the ADA-recognized dental specialties from an accredited program in the U.S. or Canada, and successful completion of all sections of Part I of the American National Dental Board.
DADM 325. Extramural Clinical Experience. 0-12 hours.
Students provide comprehensive dental services to diverse populations in rural settings and in the Chicago metropolitan area under the guidance of community-based faculty. Course Information: May be repeated. Students may register in more than one section per term.
DADM 396. Independent Study in Dentistry. 0-12 hours.
Faculty supervised independent study in any of the dental disciplines covering topics not included in regular course offerings. Course Information: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading only. May be repeated. Students may register in more than one section per term. No credit is given toward the DMD or DDS degree. Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in the DDS or DMD Program and consent of the instructor.
DADM 399. Extended Senior Clinics. 0-16 hours.
Continuation of senior clinical activities and requirements. The course is established for students to complete their senior year D.D.S. clinical requirements. It is used for registration purposes and may be used for full-time tuition assessment. Course Information: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading only. No graduation credit. Prerequisite(s): DADM 304 or consent of the associate dean for academic affairs.
