PPED 603. HKU Pediatric Weight Management. 2 hours.

The purpose of this individualized elective is to expose students who are considering careers in primary care to a multidisciplinary pediatric weight management program. Course Information: Field work required. Prerequisite(s): Completion of 3rd Year.

PPED 606. Pediatric Hematology. 2-4 hours.

During this rotation, the student will have the opportunity to follow patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting, while under the supervision of a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist. Course Information: Field work required. Prerequisite(s): Completion of 3rd Year.

PPED 610. Pediatric Cardiology. 4 hours.

The student will have the opportunity to examine pediatric outpatients with a variety of congenital and acquired heart conditions. Course Information: Field work required. Prerequisite(s): Completion of 3rd Year.

PPED 612. Pediatric Endocrinology. 4 hours.

The purpose of this elective is to develop and enhance the student’s understanding and skills in pathophysiology, physical diagnosis, and management of pediatric endocrinologic disease. Course Information: Field work required. Prerequisite(s): Completion of 3rd Year.

PPED 640. Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). 2-4 hours.

PPED 641. Neonatology (NICU). 2-4 hours.
