This elective introduces the students to the various sections of the clinical laboratory. This experience aims to gain basic knowledge of laboratory organization, workflow, specimen adequacy, testing methodology, and test interpretation. Course Information: Field work required. CPAT 661. Surgical Pathology. 2-4 hours.

Students in this rotation in the anatomic and clinical pathology laboratories. This includes a variety of gross anatomic pathology, microscopic pathology, occasional autopsy cases, and many of the cases encountered in frozen section laboratory. Course Information: Field work required. Prerequisite(s): Completion of 3rd Year.

CPAT 690. Away Rotation in Pathology. 1-15 hours.
