The objective of the Interventional Radiology elective is to gain clinical and procedural exposure to the practice of Interventional Radiology Course Information: Field work required. Prerequisite(s): Completion of 3rd Year.
CRAD 602. Fundamentals of Radiology. 2 hours.
The purpose of this course is to introduce radiology, including the basic science principles underlying various imaging modalities, their appropriate use in clinical practice, and an understanding of the limitations of the technology. Course Information: Field work required. Prerequisite(s): Completion of 2nd Year.
CRAD 603. Radiology. 4 hours.
The radiology elective is designed to offer students additional exposure to the practice of clinical radiology. Students will be placed into various subspecialty rotations available in the Radiology department. Course Information: Field work required. Prerequisite(s): Completion of 3rd Year.
CRAD 660. Diagnostic Radiology. 4 hours.
Exposure of student to diagnostic imaging with focus on developing diagnostic skills and appropriate utilization of radiology service. Course Information: Field work required. Prerequisite(s): Completion of 3rd Year.
CRAD 690. Away Rotation in Radiology. 1-15 hours.
An elective in Radiology taken outside the University of Illinois College of Medicine with prior approval. Course Information: May be repeated. Students may enroll in more than one section per term. Field work required. Prerequisite(s): Completion of 3rd Year.

Individualized elective in Radiology under the supervision of a faculty member or physician to fit students' interests or customized experiences with prior approval.
