ENDO 353. Endodontics Clinic II. 3 hours.

A continuation of ENDO 352. Students integrate knowledge and techniques previously learned into the clinical practice of endodontics. Students continue providing endodontic treatment on teeth which have been assigned a level of minimal difficulty. Course Information: Extensive computer use required. Prerequisite(s): ENDO 352.

ENDO 363. Endodontics Clinic IV. 1 hour.

Continuation of ENDO 353. Students experience treatment of a variety of cases and prepare to perform simple endodontic procedures at off-site clinic locations with minimal supervision. Course Information: Extensive computer use required. Prerequisite(s): ENDO 353.

ENDO 600. Endodontic Techniques. 3 hours.

A seminar and technique course dealing with endodontic clinical and research methods. Course Information: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading only. Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in a postgraduate program in dentistry.

ENDO 610. Classic Endodontic Literature Review. 2 hours.

A seminar covering a wide range of subjects related to the clinical practice of endodontics. Participants are assigned outside reading references that provide the basis for directed seminar discussion.

ENDO 611. Clinical Application of Endodontic Literature. 2 hours.

Various topics within the field of endodontics and related subjects such as periodontics, pediatric dentistry, and lecture techniques are presented with reference to classic literature. Course Information: Prerequisite(s): ENDO 610.

ENDO 612. Orofacial Pain. 2 hours.

A seminar course dealing with topics on the subject of pain.

ENDO 613. Pharmacology for the Dental Specialist. 2 hours.

A seminar dealing with the need, use and prescription of drugs in dental practice with specific emphasis in endodontics. Drug interactions, and modes of action of commonly prescribed and locally used therapeutic agents are stressed. Course Information: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading only.

ENDO 614. Pulpal Biology. 2 hours.

Pulp biology. Analysis of formative elements of dental pulp. Ground substance, fibers, cells, vascular and neural elements. Biology, ultrastructure and physiology. Response to disease. Course Information: Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in a postgraduate program in dentistry.

ENDO 615. Current Endodontics Literature Review. 3 hours.

Yearly update of most recent articles from endodontic publications. Bridges the gap between classic literature and most current concepts of scope, philosophy and practice. Course Information: Prerequisite(s): ENDO 610.

ENDO 617. American Board Review. 1 hour.

Topics covered by the American Board of Endodontics written and oral exam are reviewed. Course Information: Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in a postgraduate program in dentistry.

ENDO 618. Teaching, Learning and Critical Thinking. 1 hour.

An introduction to principles of teaching, learning, and critical analysis of the literature in dentistry and education. Prepares residents for their role as teachers.

ENDO 619. Endodontic Surgery. 2 hours.

All aspects of endodontic surgery are discussed and laboratory exercises are carried out. Academicians from related specialities will participate in some sessions. Course Information: Prerequisite(s): ENDO 610.

ENDO 620. Endodontics Clinic. 2-8 hours.

The clinical aspects of diagnosis case selection, and treatment both surgical and non-surgical are covered under instructor supervision. Course Information: Prerequisite(s): ENDO 600.

ENDO 630. Clinical Conference in Endodontics. 1 hour.

Clinical treatment regimen for varied types of endodontic patient cases are presented and discussed. In addition current endodontic research literature is presented and a critique formed. Course Information: Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in a postgraduate program in dentistry.

ENDO 698. Endodontic Research. 1-4 hours.

Each student must plan, complete, write and defend an original thesis that satisfies departmental requirements. Course Information: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading only. Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in a postgraduate program in dentistry.
